EASTER!

Easter Morning Rocco woke up on the WRONG side of the bed...
But once he saw his Easter stuff, he forgot about the bed all together!

Easter afternoon we tried to take pictures in our Corresponding Easter Ensemble, but didn't have much luck... it's hard to get Rocco to look at the camera and smile when no one is behind or holding the camera...

Here's the video of Rocco's second Easter ever! Please excuse how nasty I look, I'd just gotten out the shower so my hair was wet and my face was without makeup... not a pretty picture!

Easter Weekend

Our Easter Weekend was Fantastic!
Friday:
Friday Morning Rocco woke up on the RIGHT side of the bed! Yay! We played games all morning long.

We ate chocolate for breakfast!

We took fun pictures!!!

Friday afternoon we went and visited Grammy and Grampa Purcell and Rocco got to play with cousin Noah who just moved back, Fun! Fun!

Friday night the Chamberlin's came over and we ate yummy ice cream and played lots of fun games until really really late, Rocco killed over about half way through... so tired from his day of fun.

Saturday:

Saturday morning Rocco went with Grammy Purcell to dance in Orange County because mom (Juli) had to go run a primary Easter party, and Dad (Seth) needed some quiet study time...

Saturday afternoon we had the family Easter Egg Hunt!
Rocco felt so SNAZZY in his new Easter outfit...

He was a bit hesitant about picking up the eggs at first, but once he figured out there was candy inside, he got excited!

Noah liked hunting eggs too...

Daddy (Seth) helped Rocco find all the great eggs!

Then Rocco shared his fun treasures with Josh and Lauren...

All that running around made Rocco real hungry...

Happy Easter!

Conference Weekend

Well Conference Weekend was the best! I love Conference!
The weekend started off great with Friday:

Friday morning I finally planted some cheerful little flowers right by my front porch to welcome visitors with a smile!

Friday afternoon I got a card in the mail from my husband whom I love so much!
Friday night we played games and ate yummy food with the Chamberlin's... Lots of fun!

Saturday:
Saturday morning we stayed home and watched conference from the comfort of our own bed while we ate a delicious breakfast of crepes, fresh fruit, orange rolls, and juice!
Who could ask for anything better than breakfast in bed while listening to the Prophet's words?! Loved it!
After the first session ended we went to run some errands, while we were out and about we drove by a car show for old fashioned totally awesome cars! Rocco went wild. we had to go walk around and let him see all the cool cars... We didn't have a camera with us so we took pictures on Seth's phone (i'll post those later).
Then we went home and enjoyed the second session while Rocco took his nap.

After the second session we went to Seth's parents house, so Seth could go to Priesthood with his Dad and brother. Seth's dad, Freddy, suprised me with fruit he had brought back from LA!!!!
(LA fresh fruit is some of the best fruit in the world... i'm always asking him to find me some fresh Mangos down there... mm mmm good!)

During Priesthood session Kylene and I went to the Church book store and bought some books! Yay!!! I love reading! Then we went to IKEA and got fun stuff to decorate their new house with...

Sunday:
Sunday morning we had a big Breakfast with Seth's family and then we all watched conference together at their house.
Sunday night we had a big BBQ with all of Fred's counselors and their families... wow the food was AMAZING!!! I love BBQ!

All in All I would say it was a pretty GREAT weekend!

Question of the day 8:

What was your favorite talk from this General Conference?

I particularly enjoyed Elder Bednar's talk about taking upon ourselves in Christ being a process, not just something we're doing just when we get baptised, but that it continues in the house of the Lord, in the Temple. I love the Temple! I love learning new things about the Temple!

When Elder Tiexiera talked about using a spiritual GPS (the Holy Ghost) to help answer questions of where we are and where to go and how to get there, I thought that was a pretty great analogy!

The story Elder Anderson told about the boy named Matt, (who was the only one active in his Teacher's Quorum and was called to be the Teacher's quorum president; First thing he asked for a list of quorum members and called one boy and in the only Spanish he knew said "usted iglesia hoy" (You church today!])... That story really gave me a kick in the rear! I should have done that months ago with some of my primary kids!

And Last but not Least: President Monson! I love President Monson! I love that he has a sense of humor! That story he told about traveling to Mexico to rededicate temple there, and at the cultural event with 8000 young people participating, he started singing El Rancho Grande, which he learned in the ninth grade... Had me Smiling Big and Laughing hard! I wish I coulda been there!

Planter Box- Spring Garden!

I've been wanting a Garden forever! So this week I gave myself a push and created one!

First I had to go get the wood and I painted it and water proofed it...

Rocco was a BIG help throughout...

Once I finally got the wood all Painted and Waterproofed, I made Seth nail it into box shape... Then Grandpa Petersen came over and supervised while we filled the box with dirt. Once filled we planted our tomatoes!!! In about 45 days, i'm gonna have enough tomatoes to feed all y'all lasagna and spaghetti for a year! WooHoo!

We only nailed together one box. I've still gotta make the second one for my Strawberries, Corn, Basil, and Cilantro...

Question of the day 7:

http://www.theholidayspot.com/easter/crafts/easter_craft_main.gif
Easter is coming...
Which brings to mind the question:

What is your favorite Holiday?

I honestly couldn't tell you which is my favorite. Ever since I married Seth, they've all been pretty spectacular... What can I say? Being in love changes everything.
