Wild Animal Park (Spring Break!)

We took Rocco to the Wild Animal Park today!

At first (walking up to the park) he was a bit iffy about the whole thing...

Then we got in there and he saw the Pink Flamingos...
He really started Luvin it!

His favorite was the GORILLAS!

Rocco couldn't take his eyes off the Monkeys!

We had to wait in line to ride the African Safari Train:
Rocco wasn't such a big fan of that.

But he LOVED the Safari, so the line was worth it!

After the Safari we went to see the Lion's. They were all hanging out in the Jeep Jamming to some tunes...

Rocco "Roar"ed at them again and again. They didn't pay much attention to him though.

In Lorikeet landing Mom (Juli) almost got splattered on by a bird with spazzy bowels! But Dad (Seth) saved her!

And before we left the park we got Rocco a souvenir penny; It was his favorite part of the day (Rocco collects money)!!!

All in all, it was a successful day! We all had tons of funs!

Question of the day 6:

The Bathtub Test
During a visit to the mental asylum, I asked the director how do You determine whether or not a patient should be institutionalized.
"Well," said the director, "we fill up a bathtub, then we offer a teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the patient and ask him or her to empty the bathtub."
"Oh, I understand," I said. "A normal person would use the bucket because it's bigger than the spoon or the teacup."
"No." said the director, "A normal person would pull the plug. Do you want a bed near the window?"

So the question of the day is....

WHO SAID THEY'D PICK THE BUCKET?

Be honest!

Day Two at the Beach (SPRING BREAK!)

Tuesday

We started our day off with another glorious bike ride!
This time we took the ferry over to Balboa Island, and rode around there...

Rocco LOVED it! He thought he was such a cool dude (which of course, he is...)

After our bike ride we went out onto the beach again. Rocco wasn't scared of the sand anymore and after about ten minutes he wasn't scared of the water either...

He would walk right out to the waveline and throw his ball in, then he would laugh as the waves came up on top of it...

...then as the waves pulled back, he would run out, grab his ball and run away before the new wave could get his feet... He was having SO MUCH FUN!

But it was freezing cold, because of the wind, so Mommy (Juli) just hid under all the towels while Rocco and Daddy (Seth) played, and whenever Rocco got really cold, he would run over and lay down under the towels until he got warm again...

It was a blast! We wish we could've stayed at the beach longer...
Next time!

Day One at the Beach (SPRING BREAK!)

Monday

We rode bikes for Hours! Rocco LOVED it!

Rocco has been to the beach before, but for some reason when we first went out there he was terrified of the sand....

...Then he noticed the birds, and he chased them around like crazy!

That night he was being his silly self like usual!

Question of the day 4:

What's your Favorite kind of Cookie?

I love so many kinds of cookies I don't know if I can pick a favorite...
But AMONG my favorites, you will find: White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies, Lemon Ricotta Cookies, Neiman Marcus Cookies, Double Chocolate Chunk Cookies... This list could go on for days. The pure and simple fact is, I love cookies!

Rocco and I were going to make cookies last night (I was having some serious cravings for lemon ricotta cookies...mmm). I had just gotten all the ingredients out and suddenly the lights started flickering on and off and on and off again. Then, it went completely dark... Well, those of you who know me as more than an acquaintance, know that I have an extremely active imagination... I just knew someone was playing with the breaker switch and was waiting for me to freak out and open the front door so they could get me!, but not to worry, I was smarter than that; I grabbed Rocco, a Flashlight, a Book, and a Rubber Bat (my weapon of choice), and made a mad dash for the car!... Well, obviously (since I am here now relating this exciting adventure to you), I wasn't killed on my way to the car. We had to sit in the car for about an hour and a half reading story books... Rocco Loved it! I loved it too!, Except I was really wishing I had a Lemon Ricotta cookie with me...

Yup, we love each other!

You know you LOVE your husband when you spend any spare second you get in the day, making a special treat for him to enjoy while he's studying all night...

You know your husband LOVEs you, when even though he needs every spare second he can get (I mean, heck!, didn't we just point out that he's gonna be studying all night), he still takes the time to stop and pick a flower for you on his way home!

I coulda been a Secret Agent Ninja Girl!

Here's why I think I could totally be a
Secret Agent Ninja Girl:

Besides the fact that I have incredible aim with a gun, I can kick really hard/high, and I look Great in Black... My main reason for believing I was meant to be a secret agent is this:
I have such AMAZING reflexes! Now I don't mean to brag or anything, but seriously... I'm so fast! I've caught two mosquitoes MIDAIR in the past 24 hours!!! Say What?! I know, I know...
I coulda been a Secret Agent Ninja Girl!

Question of the day 3:

Today's Question:

Do you have any Weaknesses?
What I mean is: If someone wanted you to do something (like sleep in a bed of spiders or eat worms...), and you said "No Way!", what could they offer that would change your mind?

Snazzy Cars

I 'm a sucker for fast cars! If James Bond wanted some top secret information from me, he wouldn't have to try and seduce me... "Give me a ride in that car baby and I'll tell you anything you wanna know!"

Scrumptulescent Chocolates

If I have any weakness that is terrible for me, it would be my chocolate weakness!, It's more than a weakness; it's an addiction!
Not any chocolate will do of course... Hershey's: HECK NO!... I'm talking about that melt in your mouth, shipped from exotic countries, incredible, delectable and oh so edible chocolate!!! Mmmmmm... Truffles, bites, squares, bars... No matter it's shape or size, you want something from me? you offer me chocolate!

And last, but certainly not least, MY BOYS!
Need I say more?

Ups and Downs and All Arounds

Being a Mommy has it's
UP's
(Rocco fell asleep cuddling me last night! So Special!!!)
[Please excuse my bedhead; I was going to sleep...]

and it's DOWN's
(I sat Rocco down in his high chair with a yogurt and turned on Baby Mozart, and then I ran into the bathroom to brush my teeth... My Bad!)
[But Hey! At least my teeth are clean!]

Question of the day 2:

Question of the day today:

2. If you could go anywhere in the world right now (on vacation for two weeks), where would you go and why? (Please respond!!!)

  • I'd be in the the Maldives hands down! I've never been there, and I don't know anyone who has, but the pictures I've seen are incredible (some of those very pictures shown above)! It's now my dream vacation! And the houses/ condos/cabanas that you stay in are out on the water (on stilts of course) with glass bottoms so that you can always see the fish swimming around underneath you! Can you just imagine?! You're sitting at breakfast, you look down, "Oh! there goes Nemo!"

Roccolina!

I came across these pictures earlier and I just had to post them!
All I can say is: If I ever get a girl... She is gonna be so daRn cute!!!

Now don't go jumping to conclusions! In case you are thinking it; No I am not one of those Mom's that dresses her son up like a girl. Rocco found my headband stash (from when I used to have short hair) and decided to try them on... I just happened to be smart enough to grab the camera before he took them off!
