Austin Bat Show

In Austin there are about a Bajillion Bats that live under the congress bridge. They come out every evening at dusk and it's a great show to watch. We decided we absolutely had to bring Rocco to see these bats before leaving Texas. We found this nice little walking trail that had a bunch of people sitting on benches on the side of it, so we figured we were at the right spot. We found a bench and waited and waited for the bats but we never saw them. Then I asked someone and they said you couldn't see the bats from our location. We jumped in the car and drove straight to the bridge. Turned out there are hardly any bats there anymore because most of them had to migrate to find food due to the drought. But we did see some bats and Rocco LOVED it! Then we saw the BIG (fake) bat and Rocco was more than satisfied! Rocco picked me this Beautiful flower to say thank you for such a fun night.
