Before the end of interview season, Seth went and interviewed at USC, for their 5 year Vascular program. Since he had to go down two days in a row, we hit up priceline again, got a fabulous deal on a hotel and went with. This time we stayed in Glendale (a little city about ten minutes outside of LA). Why? Because if Seth does happen to match at any of the LA schools we ranked, then I think we would want to live in Glendale. Our hotel was lovely. Per usual, our kids (Zeegan especially) went a little nutzo over it!
While in the area, we went and visited Grampa Freddy at the fire station. Rocco and Zeegan acted as if they'd never seen a fire truck before in their lives! They were in heaven...
Then after Seth's interviews, we went and walked the Glendale Americana mall. It was really an awesome little place. It has a water fountain show thing in the center of the plaza and then is surrounded with enouh little diners and cafes to make Seth long to go back to Europe, It had free trolley rides that Rocco LOVED!, It had every shop and store that I would frequent if I had the Moolah, and It had enough cupcake and ice cream shops to keep ZeeZee happy! LOL. Plus it had a playground next to the water fountains and a red store (Target) across the street. Win, Win, situation! They have Condos above the whole shopping area that I think we would DEFINITELY look into if we match to a residency in LA. We had a great night and then headed back home to Redlands with smiles on our faces!
